Estimates and Quotations

To order an instrument or book in a repair, just e-mail me or use the contact page. We can then discuss your requirements.

I will then send you a written quotation for the proposed work, including an estimated time of completion.

Warranty

My instruments are guaranteed against defects in materials and my workmanship during my life as an active luthier. This does not cover repair work done by others, damage due to wear and tear, abuse, neglect, accidents, and extremes of temperature, humidity or natural disaster. 

You are responsible for the proper and periodic maintenance of the instrument. Appropriate care instructions will be included with the purchase as well as a signed receipt and Certificate of Authenticity. 

Payment  

I require 30% of the total quoted price as a deposit; with the remainder payable before shipment or collection of the instrument. Post and packing is additional.

Cancellation

If you decide for any reason to cancel an instrument order, or within the first week, after taking delivery of an instrument, you find that it is not what you wanted, you can return it for a refund. There will be a £250 charge to cover my material costs.  All shipping charges and repair costs for any damage occurring to the instrument while in your care will also be withheld.
